Image tools that respect your files
Your Files Stay Local
Nothing leaves your device — ever. We built XImage without a backend on purpose. The Canvas API and Web Workers handle everything right where your files live.
Automatic Best Output
XImage tries every codec and quality level — JPEG, WebP, AVIF, PNG — then hands you whichever combination produced the smallest file with acceptable quality.
6 Tools in One Place
Compress, convert, resize, crop, watermark, and remove backgrounds — all accessible from a single site. Switch between tools without re-uploading.
Batch 50 at Once
Drag an entire folder of images and let the worker pool crunch through them in parallel. Grab results one-by-one or download a ZIP of everything.
Zero Friction Start
Open the page, drop a file, done. No registration wall, no email confirmation, no "free trial" countdown. The tool is ready the moment you arrive.
Works on Any Screen
Phone, tablet, or desktop — XImage adapts. Processing runs on a background thread so your screen never locks up, even on lower-end devices.
Open, drop, done — no sign-up required
Pick Your Tool & Files
Choose compress, convert, resize, crop, or watermark — then drag your images in. Accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and GIF up to 50 files per batch.
Instant Processing
WebAssembly codecs and Canvas API run locally — your browser does all the heavy work. Watch the progress bar fill without any network requests.
Save Your Results
Grab each file individually or hit the ZIP button for the whole batch. No watermarks stamped, no account walls — the output is yours immediately.
Common questions
Where do my images go when I use XImage?
Nowhere. There is no server involved. XImage loads WebAssembly codecs and Canvas APIs in your browser tab, so the image bytes never travel over the network. Close the tab and everything disappears.
Which formats can I work with?
You can load JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and GIF files. For output, choose between JPEG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF. The converter page also lets you batch-convert entire folders between any of these.
How small can my images get after compression?
Results vary by content: photos often shrink 40–70%, while screenshots or graphics with flat colors can drop by 80%+. Switching from PNG to WebP or AVIF typically delivers the most dramatic savings.
Are there limits on file size or number of files?
There are no artificial caps — we don’t throttle or meter usage. Practical limits come from your device’s RAM. Most phones and laptops handle 50 images of ~10 MB each without trouble; desktops can push well beyond that.
Can I use XImage on my phone?
Yes — every tool is touch-friendly with responsive layouts. Heavy lifting happens on a background thread, so your UI stays scrollable and responsive even on mid-range devices.
Will XImage always be free?
The core tools — compress, convert, resize, crop, watermark, and background removal — will remain free with no usage caps. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the fundamentals stay open.
What is the background removal powered by?
It uses an ONNX machine-learning model that runs directly in your browser via WebAssembly. The model downloads once (~40 MB) and is cached locally — no API calls, no cloud processing.
